Blended Learning, or hybrid learning, is an educational technique that integrates online educational resources and possibilities with conventional classroom approaches. By doing so, it provides a versatile and customized learning experience that meets the requirements of each learner. Blended learning strategies can yield superior levels of student accomplishment compared to traditional face-to-face instruction. Various resilient platforms designed for such situations offer collaboration, communication, and content distribution tools. This study analyzed a publicly accessible dataset on student involvement in a mixed-learning environment. The attributes that have a greater impact on student engagement were discovered. The research aims to investigate how blended learning influences students’ educational motivation and their achievements in academia. The dataset was analyzed to understand the correlation between the study variables. Also, a classifier model was built to predict the student grades. From the results, it could be understood that the random forest technique was able to predict the grade with a higher accuracy. To enhance student engagement, this study suggests the amalgamation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in blended learning environments. Integrating AI into blended learning solutions can possibly change the field of learning technology. By employing intelligent algorithms, the chat bot can analyze the data, and suggest the learning style, customize content and activities for individuals to improve their performance. This customization guarantees that learners receive precise instruction, targeting their strengths and weaknesses and maximizing their learning outcomes. Chatbots offer a more intuitive and engaging interface for users to interact with recommender systems and enhance learners’ awareness. A chatbot designed to recommend diverse educational materials to students in blended learning settings has been created and integrated in the existing in-house Learning Management System (LMS) that is accessible to students in a higher education setting. Personalized recommendations in blended learning settings can greatly improve the learning progress of students by customizing the content to meet their particular requirements and interests.
