Two of our faculty had attended the session. It is a Scheme for promotion of academic Research and collaboration, Government of India, in association with Pondicherry central university and along with Deacan University and Camberra University of Australia had conducted a special program on Emerging Trends in financial reporting. Participants were awarded certificates.
2.1.1 The E-Cell of CHRIST (Deemed to be university) had conducted a flagship business plan event named Cocoon 2022. The event took place on February 24th and 25th. This event is a battlefield filled with opportunities for one to showcase their entrepreneurship and management skills. It was a 3 day inter college national level fest where each day had prelims. The following students had participated in the event, Kabilesh Nataraj, Deesha.R.Bohra, Suruthi.V, Pranav Varshan, Mathumitha.M, R.Raksheka, Cigoshna Poonguzhali, Smrithi Shridharan.
2.1.2 AIMA was a professional competition which was exclusive for MBA students. The event took place on 18th February 2022. Our first-year students participated to gain experience. Simulation game was the major task of the completion where they had to solve case studies. The case studies were said to be challenging. The participation has given the students new strategies and techniques to think over and solve a case study.

First round of SPHERE CHAMPIONS happened on 27.01.2022 virtually through MS TEAMS. The event started with welcome speech by Nithin K and introductory remarks by Dr. G. Arivazhagan. Felicitation address was given by Dr. N. Balu (Head and Dy. Dean), where he appreciated the students overwhelming support to SPHERE program and he stressed the importance of student profile building through SPHERE. A total of 18 SPHERE CHAMPIONS were felicitated. Vote of thanks was given by Suruthi R. Total of 54 students (BBA & BBA IB) participated and the event was coordinated by Nithin K and Suruthi R and Dr. G. Arivazhagan.

The Charter installation ceremony of the Rotaract club of KCLAS happened on 25th of January, 2022. Many eminent personalities like Mr. Antony Johnson. Mr. Mohamed Irfan (President of Rotary club of texcity), Mr. Mohamed Shafi (Secretary of Rotary club of texcity), Mr. Prasanna Kandeepan, Mr. Krishan Chugh, Mr. Mani (Governor Group Representative) and Mr. Rajsekar (District Governor). Rtr. Varalakshmi was the emcee of the event. The event started with a welcome address by Dr. Nanjan Balu followed by the new member induction by the DRR. The new president was installed by Rtn. Mohamed Irfan and Rtr. Aathira Pradeep took her oath to be the President of the Rotaract club of KCLAS. The officers bearers were introduced and their oath was administered by the new president. The event was a grand success and marked the beginning of a new journey for KCLAS.

Mr. Dhananjayan started off by stating the Importance of client experience and anectode from the banking sector. He referef to the video – cherry pet which talks about archives, steve jobs and customer experience. He emphasized on Evolution of banking sector: yesterday – automation, today – internet, tomorrow – mobile. Other topics highlighted during the session were about: E- KYC, SAAS – software services with google pay and Vchant as an example quoting payments and cyber security the sar points; RBI regulations for money transactions. Bio metric and iris for transaction / payments in India is not possible and their supporting statements. He explained on what customer experience is, it is the service experience being beyond good. He talks about information, payment, effortless, courteous. He further elaborates on the Evolution of customer experience – analog: letter and telephone, Digital: email, self-service and chat box. Sir describes the channels of customer experience: Branched, multi-channel and Omni channel. The different Aspects to measure moments of truth (interaction between organization and customer). Types of measurements – CES customer effort score, CSAT customer satisfaction score, NPS net promoter score (widely used) = promoters – detractors / no. of customers x 100.
Client experience management is evolving so the importance of customer experience is to improve customer satisfaction and improve customer retention. He ended off by sharing the Customer journey map which has the elements, awareness, consideration, decision, service and loyalty.

Mrs. Anitha Ramesh begun the session with the quote “Technology is indispensable”. Technology know-how required for professional excellence. She is known to do project training with freshers and states that it is important for students to know technology. It isn’t enough for professionals to have the best knowledge of their domain alone. Technology is a necessary aspect to be known. She elaborates on why technology is important for us. Companies offer internship programs now which is 2-3 months of job. In this case it is must to showcase your knowledge on technology beforehand. She suggests to learn technology along with the course in line and emphasizes that we cannot separate technology and business, apart from products and features we need to explain the technology used in the process to the customers. She further justifies the importance of technology by taking about the key pillars of an organisation: people, process and technology. “Technology has revolutionized the business.
Digital transformation is a buzz word in the commerce or economic sector. It is the strategic adoption of digital technology. Improves productivity, improve customer experience, control costs and manage business risks. Benefits: increased mobility, data security and enhanced user experience.

She briefs on cloud computing, data structures, service providers, Business analytics and AI, data mining, data driven business decisions. Telly medicine associated with AI, Chat bots. Block chain (underlying technology of crypto currency and bitcoins.
She gives us an insight of the Concept of internet of things: Agile running on jira : plan , run , evaluate , improve; ERP – Enterprise resource planning, CRM – Customer resource planning, SCM- Supply chain management, HRM – Human resource management, Core banking system, Career paths in this domain and the soft skills required to shine in this particular field.
The game was about connecting pictures to derive a meaningful word. Individual participation was encouraged. Two stages – prelims and finals were held. We had an enthusiastic crowd of 20 students. We had 3 winners of this event.

School of Management organized a webinar via zoom platform on 29th January, with a key note address by chief guest followed by and a panel discussion. The event was intended for parents of students who are into family business and other business owners in and around Coimbatore. The event was conducted with the overall objective of commencing activities (webinars, coffee chats and other certification courses) towards creating an entrepreneurial educational eco system at KCLAS.
The key note address was given by Dr Sunil Shukla, Director General of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. The panel discussion had three members and one moderator. Other panel members (Dr Sunil being the 1st member) were Dr Hitesh Bhatt, Director marketing and communication, RAI (Retail association of India) & Editorial Director of STOrai, the retail magazine and Mr Kanishka Arumugam, CEO of Ekki water technologies and Executive member of CII. The moderator of the event was Mr Srihari Rathnam, a 7th generation family business owner and MD of Ecots Bio products Pvt ltd.
The key note speaker spoke on the topic: Challenges and Opportunities in today’s family business and the topic for the panel discussion was: Are family business more fragile or much more resilient.
