Workshop on Time Study and Motion Study Skills - Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts & Science (KCLAS)

Department of Management has organised an Workshop on ‘Time Study and Motion Study Skills” for second year BBA students on 13/09/2019 at Lecture Hall 2, KCLAS. Mr.R.Ravikumar, Manager Operations ,Roots Multiclean Limited, Coimbatore was the resource person.

The session started with the Welcome address by Ms.Srisuganthi of II BBA. J. Subhashini of II BBA has introduced the resource person to the gathering. The workshop started with the concept of Time, Speed and Method. He has explained the concept of time study and explained how it is practically done in the organisation to increase the productivity. He has shared his experience which he has gained during his visit to Toyota company and the way the company adopts the time study skills to manage the company. He further told that Toyota Company manage the production activity without wasting a single minute.

He has further explained how the time study is applied in the real world with the help of visuals and videos. He has also explained the method study concept with the help of live videos and visuals of Roots Company. He has also touched upon the 5S concept and why it is important through the pictures of Roots Company. The session was completely interactive.

Finally he has given the hands on training with the help of rocket making and after applying the time and motion study how the work got improved. All the participants were highly interactive in the session. The talk helped the students in understanding various concepts in a better way. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr.S.Manimurugan of II BBA.
