Department of Management has organised a Guest Lecture on ‘Economics and Technology” for the first year BBA students on 31/01/2020 at Lecture Hall 1, KCLAS. Dr.Guruselvaraj, GM HR and IR , Flow Link Systems Private Limited, Coimbatore was the resource person. The session started with the Welcome address by Mr.V.Kirthik of I BBA. He introduced the resource person to the gathering after the welcome address. Resource Person started the session with the concept of economics. The speaker has explained about the economics of an individual, firm and country. He has highlighted clearly the Indian Economical condition. He has discussed about GDP and how it is calculated. He has explained about the importance of GDP on the economy. He further discussed about the import and export of our country and how it has impacted the GDP of India. He has linked the economics with the technology for which he started his explanation with barter system to the latest technology. He has clearly explained the impact of technology on the Indian economy and its development. All the participants were highly interactive in the session. The talk helped the students in understanding various concepts in a better way. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr.D.Sanjaykumar of I BBA.
