Guest Talk on Basics of Capital Market - Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts & Science (KCLAS)

Department of Commerce organised a Guest Talk on Basics of Capital Market for I B.Com on 04/10/2019. The Resource person was Mr. K. Thangaraj, Faculty, Annamalai Capital Services (P) Ltd, Coimbatore. He has completed Master of Commerce, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Post Graduate Diploma in International Business, pursuing part-time Ph.D., in Commerce, UGC-NET qualified and Chartered Financial Goal Planner ( CFGP )

He has nearly 24 years of work experience in the field of Financial Services / Wealth Management / Capital Markets domain, NBFC, Software Industry, FMCG Industry, with Managerial and Supervisory experience in Business Management, Marketing, HR, Administration, Finance, Multi-location and Multi-business verticals Management and Training and Development. He is a vising faculty to many Business Schools. He is a member of All India Management Association (AIMA), Indian Commerce Association (ICA) and Coimbatore Management Association (CMA). He is a Partner of M/s. Aashirvaadh Financial Services, Coimbatore , Director of M/s.Banyan Seed eVentures Private Ltd., Coimbatore and also faculty of Annamalai Capital Services (P) Ltd., Coimbatore.

The session started with a welcome address and Introduction of Guest by Ms. Hind Chetwani of I B.Com. Guest speaker started the session with the introduction of capital and shares. He explains about the capital formation and the types of capital such as debt, equity, trading and working capital. He made clear the students about the primary capital market and secondary capital market. He explain what is IPO (Initial Public Offering) and FPO (Follow on Public Offer). He concluded the session and encourages the students to make invest in small amount of shares to know about the stock market. Overall the session was very interactive and useful to the students. The session was closed with a vote thanks by Mr. Aanjan Prasath . G of I B.Com.
