A workshop on “Financial Statement Analysis” was conducted by Dr.R.Umarani, Professor, Department of Management, KCLAS on February 07, 2020 for II BBA students. Analytics is the need of the hour which is used from sports, campaigning to business. The resource person explained how Financial analytics is carried on in organisations. An introduction was given about the financial statements. Students were explained about how annual reports are to be read with the example of Eicher Motor’s annual report. The financial statement of Eicher Motors was analysed using ratios and inferences were discussed. Working capital analysis was explained with few live cases. The resource person facilitated students in identifying the red flag areas using cases like DLF, Subex, Hindalco etc., To sum up, the workshop was an eye opener for students in Financial analytics.
