KCLAS Future Centre Support Progression

KCLAS offers continuous and progressive future support for students in three main verticals – progression in education, employment or entrepreneurship.

Stage 1 – Discover Yourself

This stage helps the students to know their personal values and motivations, describe their interests and what they like to do and skills and what kind of work they would be good. Several types of profiling and assessments are done to discover themselves. This is followed by group and individual discussions, which helps the students to unravel their personal selves.

Stage 2 – Explore Your Options

Future Options –Guided Search for information about your chosen field, this website will help the students to connect their majors to careers. Learn about typical future areas and types of employers that hire people with each major, as well as strategies to make them a more marketable candidate.

Occupational Research – This provides information on what employees do; the work environment; education, training, and other qualifications; pay; the job outlook; information on state and area data; similar occupations; and sources of additional information

Industry Research – Discover which industries are in demand, have the largest employment, are experiencing declining employment, pay the most, and more. Sharpen your job search or future planning by learning where industry growth and decline are occurring.

Stage 3 – Get Focused

Decision Making – It is all about exploring and experiencing the world of work. Future Centre encourages the students to use these resources to help them along with the decision-making process. Goal Setting – Students will be guided to define their future goals that will help you make necessary steps toward a satisfying work life. These resource to help you create, adapt, and implement a successful Future Plan.

Stage 4 – Take Action

Gain Experience – KCLAS Future Centre offers experience through Internships as it is proven that students with internship experience are significantly more likely to get hired after college than peers lacking internship experience. Research also shows that students with internship experience tend to have much higher starting salaries than students without such experience. KCLAS offers training to be better prepared for selection process – either for jobs or graduate education through resume/ SoP building, aptitude training, mock group discussions and interviews, registering in job portals, creating professional on-line presence and utilizing Job Search Tools
