A counselor at the Future Services office can help to choose a successful future, in its Life Lab through self-assessment tools to examine personal values, personality, interests, and abilities and then, based on the results, either suggest some possible options or help you figure out if the future one has in mind is suitable.
Future Centre office help students write their resumes and cover letters. offer workshops and provide one-on-one sessions during which they critique resumes and cover letters.
Future Centre office conducts workshops to learn how to present oneself well in a job interview, from what to wear, to what questions to expect. The Centre also conducts workshops on resume building, e-portfolios, SoP writing, aptitude training, group discussions and mock interviewing sessions to feel prepared for real interviews.
While there’s probably a separate office that handles internships, Future Centre often work hand-in-hand with companies seeking college interns and internship advisers. Students are also given opportunities to carry out internships/ part-time jobs on-campus.
Futures Centre also should be able to help you find networking events, where one can connect with professionals in your potential career. Kumaraguru has more than 30,000 alumni, who will help students connect with opportunities and are willing to provide advice and possible connections to those making the hiring decisions at their companies. The Future Centre will help with the following (1) Link students and alumni with a similar background (2) Reach out for advice related to professional experience (3) Share possible job openings. Around 5000 alumni have pursued their graduate education in various parts of the world in top ranked Universities. They will give guidance for graduate studies – applications, scholarships, country and University culture, support to find accommodation and connecting with other alumni
Future Centre Office host job fairs during which employers visit the campus to recruit students who are about to graduate. Students can access a college’s future management system or job portal to look at employment and internship listings, register for workshops and schedule appointments with counselors and on-campus recruiters. They can also upload resumes into a searchable database which employers can then use to recruit applicants. A large part of job search should include actively building relationships with professionals who work at employers and organizations of interest.
One-on -one Mentoring in partnership with Kumaraguru International Office will be given for students interested in Masters education in India or in International Universities. Future Centre will help undergraduate students decide whether graduate school is a viable option based on their future aspirations and their performance in college. They can assist students in choosing an appropriate program.
KCLAS Future Centre will work with Kumaraguru International Office to conduct Graduate Education Fairs and offer Orientation sessions about graduate education in different countries and various universities. Opportunities to gain scholarships and other support may be offered by partner Universities.
