Introduction
B. Preethi Meena is a dedicated social work professional and Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science, Coimbatore. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Work at Srinivas University, Mangalore, with an expected completion date of August 2025. Her research interests focus on community development, capacity building, and inclusive practices for individuals with disabilities. Preethi Meena earned her Master of Social Work specializing in Social Development from Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore (2018-2020), and her Bachelor of Business Administration from Bishop Cotton Academy of Professional Management, Bangalore (2015-2018). She is a certified Direct Support Professional trained in Social Role Valorisation (SRV), demonstrating her commitment to ethical and person-centered practices.
Achievements and Activities
Preethi Meena is actively engaged in teaching and mentoring postgraduate social work students, leading community outreach programs for undergraduates, and facilitating workshops, seminars, and faculty exchanges. She also leads the Child Protection Club for undergraduate students, showcasing her dedication to child welfare. Her professional experience includes working with Tech Mahindra Foundation as an Assistant Manager in Education, where she conducted needs analyses, designed training programs, and monitored project progress.

To contribute to the field of social work by advancing research and promoting inclusive practices that empower marginalized communities, particularly individuals with disabilities.
Strengths
A strong academic background in social work, expertise in community development and capacity building, experience in program coordination and research, and a commitment to ethical and person-centered approaches. Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including SPSS and scale development, and possesses strong project management and communication skills.
