On August 8, 2024, the Kumaraguru Civil Services Academy (KCSA) proudly launched its 6th batch at the Swami Vivekananda Hall, KCLAS. The event featured distinguished speakers, including a keynote address by an esteemed UPSC achiever and an engaging Q&A session, inspiring and motivating the audience.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. D. S. Makkalanban, Head of the Department of Political Science, who highlighted the Academy’s commitment to shaping future civil servants. This was followed by opening remarks from Dr. Vijila Edwin Kennedy, Principal of KCLAS, who emphasized the importance of dedication and perseverance in the journey towards success in the Civil Services Examination.
The event’s highlight was the keynote address by Mrs. Priya Dharshini, a remarkable achiever who secured an All India Rank of 82 in the UPSC Examination and is now part of the prestigious Indian Forest Service (IFS). Mrs. Priya Dharshini’s journey to the IFS was nothing short of inspiring, spanning over nine years of relentless effort, perseverance, and unwavering determination.
In her speech, Mrs. Priya Dharshini shared the trials and tribulations of her nine-year journey, emphasizing the importance of resilience and the will to keep moving forward despite repeated setbacks. She spoke candidly about the challenges she faced, including multiple unsuccessful attempts and the need to re-strategize her preparation. Her story resonated deeply with the audience, particularly those who may find themselves at similar crossroads.
Mrs. Priya Dharshini also shared practical advice on how to approach the Civil Services Examination, encouraging students to remain patient and persistent. Following her address, Mr. Chandrasekar S, Head of Academics at Shankar IAS Academy, Chennai, felicitated the event and lauded Mrs. Dharshini’s achievements and extended his best wishes to the new batch.
