New Business Club Entrepreneurship clubs are a great way for the aspiring entrepreneurs of KCLAS to work with like-minded creative thinkers, and apply classroom knowledge to valuable real-world experience.
Courses: KCLAS offer a wide range of entrepreneurship courses with an emphasis on Lean Launch methods and extending to specialized social impact and technical areas. Courses are geared both to students interested in an introduction to entrepreneurship and those who want in-depth immersion in the three phases of the entrepreneurial journey: ideation and team formation, customer discovery and validation, and startup acceleration.
Mentoring: Students and alumni have the opportunity to schedule 20-minute sessions with some of the regions top entrepreneurs and VCs through our Mentoring Hours program. We have over 20 mentors who generously donate their time to help students with their business ideas in person or via Skype.
Student Programs: The KCLAS Entrepreneurship Program targets students interested in: learning about entrepreneurship, starting a company,or integrating entrepreneurial thinking into corporate environments. KCLAS offers opportunities to get exposure, acquire skills and gain real-world experience in startups. We offer multidisciplinary hackathons and pitch-a-thons, mentoring from industry experts, startup seed funding, competitions, accelerators, internships and events with Forge, the Business Incubation centre
Business on Campus: KCLAS provides a unique opportunity for students to own a business on campus that serves the KCLAS/ KCT Community. Student owners can supplement the valuable business and entrepreneurial skills they learn in the classroom while gaining real world experience as they manage and lead their own businesses. Students can buy into an existing business or start a new one!
SEC is a community of student, academic, and business leaders committed to using the power of social entrepreneurship to enable human progress. Members apply business concepts to develop community outreach projects that transform lives and shape a better, more sustainable world. We engage in several different projects in the Coimbatore region and around the world, to create the impact. All majors are welcome. Students can engage in projects of their interest and the regions need based on UN sustainable Development Goals. They also have an opportunity to engage with larger social entrepreneurial community ENACTUS
Entrepreneurship runs in the veins of students who come from a Family Business Background. If family business connections exists, a student can build on that firm foundation and grow a new business out from the family business. Family Business Forum encourages and supports students in this path through courses, mentoring, peer network and connecting with the family business Board.
