Embarking on the Akumen journey at IIM Kozhikode was a revelation, a five-day immersion that transcended the confines of traditional learning. Imagine this: second-year students from management and commerce domains uniting for a residential program that embraced liberal arts. It wasn’t just textbooks and lectures; Akumen unfolded as a holistic experience. Beyond the rigours of academia, it wove a tapestry of learning, connecting us with practical insights and enriching our perspectives. From collaborative projects to shared moments, Akumen was a blend of camaraderie and education. This blog unravels the delightful memories of learning at IIM K’s Akumen immersion.

Packed bags, eager faces, and the hum of excitement—our adventure began with a 50-strong student brigade embarking on an 8-hour bus ride to IIM Kozhikode. The journey was more than a physical commute; it marked the start of a 5-day immersion program that promised a blend of learning and camaraderie.Laughter echoed through the journey, forging bonds that would define the Akumen experience. This was more than a trip; it was a collective dive into knowledge, friendship, and adventure.The weary faces from the long bus ride transformed into gleaming expressions upon entering IIMK’s hospitality haven. Exhaustion gave way to excitement as we found comfort in the best stay, turning early to bed into a luxury. The exceptional hospitality not only rejuvenated tired bodies but also fueled our enthusiasm for the immersive experience that awaited us.

Every day at IIMK brought a mix of excitement and nervousness; a different college, a different vibe. Yet, the classes were a revelation – a dynamic blend from psychology to management, political science to sociology. The liberal edge program unfolded new dimensions. Team activities weren’t just tasks; they were bond-forging adventures. Each class meant a new teacher, a fresh style. Case studies became our allies, simplifying complex concepts.
