Scholarships, Grants & Awards - Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts & Science (KCLAS)

Generous Scholarships are available for students entering into KCLAS or progressing in the programs pursued at KCLAS. Scholarship are given in the form of (1) tuition fee waiver (full/ partial) (2) sponsorship for optional benefits. Students will have to apply for scholarships in the prescribed formand the decision will be taken by the Admission Committee based on the merit of the application and approval of the Management Committee of the College .The Scholarships available are as follows;

SCHOLARSHIP FOR EQUAL EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT (SEED)

Objective of SEED

To offer complete education support to aspirational students from challenging socio-economic status and equip them to engage in meaningful professions and contribute to their well-being.

Process of giving SEED

Every year for KCLAS programs, SEED students will be identified through partner NGOs (Maatram Foundation & Agaram Foundation). The identified students from the NGOs will be invited to the campus and go through the selection process of KCLAS. The admission committee will meet the parents and students and have a discussion about the academic process and gain understanding of the additional support that will be required. Based on the discussions and agreement from parents and students, the admission will be granted.

Academic Support for SEED Students

Faculty will offer Bridge and special classes, coaching for writing exams, reading materials in Tamil. Counselling and mentoring will be regularly given for psychological support.

KIG EMPLOYEE SCHOLARSHIP

Instituted during the year 2019, the scholarship aims to recognize and appreciate the services rendered by Teaching, Non-Teaching, and administrative staff of Kumaraguru Institutions.

SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP

Sports Scholarships are awarded to students based on their performance in sports in the National/ International level achievers.

DIFFERENTLY ABLED SCHOLARSHIP

Instituted during the year 2020, the scholarship aims to support students with Locomotor/ Orthopaedic disability, visually impaired, Speech & Hearing impaired, Mental disability, Multiple disabilities etc., and facilitate their academic pursuit.

KCLAS MG AWARD

Students are recognized for their excellence in academics during their period of study.
