Department of Commerce organised a Guest Talk on Robotic Process Automation for I B.Com PA students on 13/09/2019. The Resource person was Mr. T. Vishnu Prabhu, Senior Consultant – Business Analyst, Infrasoft Technologies Ltd, Chennai. He is having 8 years of experience in IT Services Industry. He is a Business Analyst and has gained expertise across multiple domains ranging from Core Banking and Payments to Order Management and Securities Services. He is being deployed at client locations for more than 2 years, have gathered professional expertise and cultural exposure travelling to more than 10 countries across Europe and South America. He was appreciated by Bol Management for efforts in portraying all end-to-end communication between the applications in the bank and received appreciation from HP Inc. Management for Technical Achievements and soft skills in handling the project and being the focal point connecting various connecting various stakeholders. He was currently working with BNP Paribas India Solutions Pvt. Ltd as Robotic Process Automation.
The session started with a welcome address and Introduction of Guest by Ms. T. Madhu Prabaa of I B.Com PA. Guest speaker started the session with the introduction of RPA and the fields where RPA plays a major role such as Health Care, Retail, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunication, Marketing etc. He explains how process automated using RPA tools in Digital Banking Platform. He also explained the use of technology to automate business process with minimal human intervention and the capabilities of RPA such as communicating with other systems, decision making and interface for bot programming. Main advantage of RPA is it removes physical constraint. He insisted the students to practice Excel Macros. He concluded that RPA cuts costs which reduces employment and increases the quality of the work done which results in consumer satisfaction which is the ultimate goal of every industry. Overall the session was very useful to the students. The session was closed with a vote thanks by Mr. S. Mukunth Vikram of I B.Com PA.
