Dr.N. Sumathy,. M.Com., M.Phil.,PGDMA., PGDCA., Ph.D

Professor & Head, Department of Commerce

Introduction

Dr. N. Sumathy has completed Ph.D in the field of marketing from Sri Krishna Arts and Science College under the guidance of Dr. K. Sundararaman. Her thesis, titled is “A Study on Knowledge Productivity Factors of RTGS Payment System from Customers’ Perspective”, Completed M.Phil., in Commerce form PSG College of Arts and Science ( 1998 – 1999 ) , M.Com., from Government Arts College (1995 – 1997) and B.Com., from CMS College of Science and Commerce ( 1992 – 1995 ). Her research interest is banking products and new technological developments in banking and marketing. She holds up a stable record of 24 years of teaching experience and 8 years of research experience in the area of finance and marketing.

She has presented 28 papers in National and International Conferences and published 23 research papers in National and International Journals. She has complied 2 books titled “Accounting for Public Sectors” and “Corporate Accounting” by Mc Graw Hill Education. She has organized several Conferences, Seminars, Guest Lectures, Workshops, Executive Interaction Programmes and Outreach Programmes.She underwent a Training Course on Internal Quality Auditor organized by ZANDIG TQM Solutions Pvt Ltd., Bangalore and Sri Krishna Arts and Science College.She delivered a lecture on Basics of Accounting & Finance to Non-Finance Executives from foreign countries in an International Training Programme, sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India organized by SITRA (South Indian Textile Research Association), Coimbatore.She was a Member&University Nominee for Board of Studies, External Examiner and Question Paper Setter for a Reputed Autonomous Colleges. She produced 3 M.Phils. and 1Ph.D.
