Namadhu Pangu is the development wing of Kumaraguru Institutions, which was set up to coordinate social sensitization programmes for students and undertake community development projects for the marginalized communities around the college campus. CSA addresses issues related to child rights, socio-economic development of women and youths, community mobilization and environment/climate change issues.
Namadhu Pangu is a volunteer driven programme. Students can register as volunteers and participate / coordinate / lead various programmes that are designed and executed in the adopted villages.
KCLAS partners with Namadhu Pangu so as to facilitate sustainable changes in the lives of the poor and the oppressed through active participation of the student volunteers and equip them with ideals and values for effective contributions to the society. Namadhu Pangu-KCLAS collaboration was initiated with the intention of enabling the student community to imbibe the values of social responsibility, as envisioned in the Core Values, Vision and the Mission by our Founder Late Arutchelvar Dr. N Mahalingam
KCLAS believes in strengthening student community with a view to enabling positive changes in society. This is one of the motivating factors for undertaking various developmental projects and social sensitization programmes. KCLAS intends to create a community of empathetic students who can work proactively for society.
